Oh my...clearly I am not very good at this blogging thing. Maybe when my life calms down I'll get better...but then I won't have anything to blog about. Here are some highlights of the last couple of months...
- Richard turned 31...yep...I'm marrying an old man. Happy belated birthday fiance!!! We went to Soby's to celebrate and I surprised him with a trip to the gun-shooting store to practice shooting. It was my first time to shoot a gun since I went skeet shooting as a child. I think I did pretty awesome. Here's our proof...
Richard's target...a little violent for my tastes but he did great!
My target...not too shabby if you ask me!
- We had our engagement pictures taken in January on the most beautiful day of the month! Our photographer, Kim Deloach, did an amazing job of capturing some really special shots. I still can't decide my favorite.
Check the rest of them out at www.kimdeloachphoto.com! She is awesome!!
- Showering of love: I have been so blessed to have some really fun showers with some great friends and family. I feel so lucky to have so many people that want to celebrate with us!
Some of my great college friends threw me a kitchen shower with lots of my Greenville and Furman friends. It was really overwhelming to have so many people I love in one place...I can't even imagine what the wedding will be like.
Some of my mom's church friends also had an "Around the Clock" shower for me which was so fun to get to see all of them. Unfortunately all of the pics are on their cameras!
Last weekend I had a shower in Wilmington and I got to see some friends that I don't get to see very often so it was so nice to catch up with them!
- Speaking of March Madness...my Tar Heels are the ACC Season Champions...GO HEELS!!
- In other wedding news...I took the day off of work today and Richard and I went to Asheville to get our MARRIAGE LICENSE!!! (We have to have a NC license since we will be getting married in NC.) I've already been feeling amazed at how real it is becoming but this really sealed the deal...no turning back now. We considered just heading on over to the court house but decided against that...tempting though. 38 days to go (now almost 37!!)!!!!!!!!!!
It was a rainy day for the drive to Asheville but well worth it for sure. As to be expected, Richard charmed all of the nice ladies in the Register of Deeds office till they were all calling him by name and showing him their oldest marriage certificates.
So that's what we've been up to. Hopefully I'll post again before it's been 2 months...by then I'll be an old married woman!!
Yay! I love it when you post! :)
ReplyDeleteDo a post about your shower gifts...I want to read about the fun things you got!
LOVE the engagement pics!!
Miss you and can't wait to celebrate in 36 (?) days!! xoxo
